Should this be sorted by last name instead of first? Then by first after last? Oz Spade 03:45, 28 Mar 2006 (EST)
Yeah Oz, that does look a lot better.
This is going to get unwieldy pretty quickly at this rate. Can anyone suggest anything better? -Tateru
Put the first and last names in separate sortable columns defaulting to last name alphabetical sorting. Or just sort by first name (easiest). -Eep 23:09, 28 May 2006 (EDT)
Or do what Eggy did and sort by "Lindens" and "Residents"--though as "Residents" gets longer it should probably be separated by last name at least. -Eep 08:40, 29 May 2006 (EDT)
Well I would like to continue to have a page sorted by last name and I don't think theres any way to automaticly do that with mediawiki (i.e. theres no "Sort by word that comes after the space in the article not the first word" to my knowledge). The breaking of them up does help. What we could also do when we get more names in there is break them up into letter sections, so you'd have an "A" section, "C", "B", etc. with each last name starting with that letter in it. Similar in style to how the category page works. If it gets too much of a pain in the ass we can just ditch the article and stick with the category page, sorting by last name isn't such a big deal that it should be painful to add one.

I would suggest maybe separating things into types of residents. Famous builders, scripters, socialites, land barons...

That gets a bit tricky, because some people are many things and some may not consider themselves one thing or another. Like I wouldn't say I fall into any of those categories. ;P

Ok, then you're a famous MISC :D I suppose this page is more or less redundant with the category page. We should just add subcategories for builders and scripters or something, and tag people with both if they are known for both types of skills.

This categorization into "generations" is a bit subjective. I suggest a more numeric approach. Eggy 17:08, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
